In this topic we discuss the difference between the authentic implementation of Montessori principles v. the didactic use of the materials in a traditional way. Anyone can use the materials for the ‘outer’ aim, but not everyone knows why we do what we do and how that changes our attitude toward the child themselves. Parents have access to endlessly confusing and contradictory ‘information’ that may or may not be fake news. Montessori education is the one most successfully implemented Method of Education in the world; there are Montessori schools on every continent, and it is the single most widely implemented Method of Education globally. FOR A REASON. There are also many iterations of Montessori Education as Dr. Montessori never trademarked the name.
